Free and open-source fiscalization
Fiscus is a self-hosted fiscalization service for European businesses.
One deployable service, per-country adapters, a language-agnostic REST API.
Open source, forever
Fiscus is licensed under the AGPLv3 and always will be. No open-core bait-and-switch, no relicensing, no per-receipt pricing. Compliance infrastructure belongs in the commons.
Self-hosted, sovereign
Commercial fiscalization clouds require handing over your fiscal certificates and transaction data. Fiscus runs on your infrastructure — keys, invoices, and receipts stay with you.
Every invoice accounted for
Fiscus stores every invoice it processes. Query any invoice’s fiscalization status over the API at any time — submitted, confirmed, queued for retry — with a durable audit trail.
One service, many countries
Per-country adapter modules behind one API. Planned launch scope: Croatia (Fiskalizacija 1.0 & 2.0), Slovenia (FURS), Austria (RKSV), then Spain (VeriFactu).
A third option
Fiscalization laws force businesses to either build against complex tax-authority protocols themselves or rent access from a proprietary compliance cloud. Fiscus gives POS, ERP, and SaaS vendors a third option — software that will stay free and open-source forever.
Built for a stronger Europe
Every euro not spent on commercial fiscalization software stays with a European business. Fiscus cuts the cost of compliance: instead of renting a proprietary service, deploy your own in minutes — plug and play — and start doing business faster.
Project status
Fiscus is in early development. There is no publicly available source code yet — the repository will be published at github.com/fiscusproject once the foundation is in place. Until then, this page is the project’s canonical home; what you read here describes what is being built, not what you can download today.
